Head Sommelier

We are recruiting a wine professional for a key role in our team. As Chef Sommelier you will lead and inspire our wine and beverage offering.

Restaurant Andrew Fairlie has established itself as a leader in Scottish Hospitality. Working with only the finest produce (much of it showcasing Scotland's Larder) and sensational wines and spirits, we are blessed with a loyal and regular clientele who rightly expect exceptional and personal service. We have built a reputation for a characterful, personality led, and professional service style.


As Chef Sommelier, you will be responsible for the management of the beverage offering that accompanies and enhances our dining experience. It goes without say that you must have a world class knowledge of wines and spirits, but this must be partnered with financial accuemen and control. You will have the support of a team of three Sommeliers, and the wider support of the Restaurant Brigade to deliver memorable service to our guests.


We open for dinner only, and work a straight shift over a five day working week. We offer an attractive salary,  private healthcare and pension contribution, and an equitable share of gratuities. We are less than one hour away from cosmopolitan Edinburgh and vibrant Glasgow and some of the most breathtaking countryside in Britain is on our doorstep.
