We are looking to recruit an Assistant Sommelier to support the
Head Sommelier, and guide the Commis Sommeliers. You will support
the Head Sommelier in his responsibilities for all areas of
beverage, from aperitifs to digestifs, and the wine offering to
complement our a la Carte and Dégustation menus.
Most importantly you will bring a passion and knowledge to
inspire your colleagues and clientele alike. You must display great
interpersonal skills, and a desire to deliver only the highest
standards of service. This is a hands on role, so you must enjoy
the service delivery side of Sommelerie. It goes without say that
you will have a love of all things vinous and of gastronomy.
We open for dinner only, and work a straight shift over a five
day working week. We offer an attractive salary, private health
care, pension and equitable share of the gratuities, and meals on
duty. Set in truly beautiful countryside, we are less than one hour
away from cosmopolitan Edinburgh and vibrant Glasgow.
